Ahead of World AIDS Day 2021, Positively Aware hosted a virtual celebration of the personal stories from the magazine’s anti-stigma campaign.

A Day with HIV will return on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

A Day with HIV captures a single 24-hour period in the lives of people affected by HIV—that’s everyone, regardless of status. On September 22, 2021, people everywhere took a snapshot of their day and posted to their social media to share their story.

A Day with HIV coincides with the autumnal equinox, one of only two days out of the year when day and night are of equal length. In some ancient cultures, the equinox not only marked the changing of the seasons, it signified a change in thinking. What better day to fight stigma?
