“Taking an hour that I put aside daily to work on my book of short stories. These stories make up moments of my life that bring me joy, caused me pain, left me confused, and of course the ones that I look to for strength. I have been thriving while living with HIV for 16 years, and that is worth celebrating!”

The goal is to get everyone to take their picture all on the same day, and share their story. A Day with HIV brings people together to showing that people living with HIV are like everyone else.

No. We’re all affected by HIV—this campaign is for everyone.

Everywhere—wherever you are. Thanks to social media, A Day with HIV happens all over the world. In 2021, people from 15 countries took their photos and shared their stories.

Take your picture on Saturday, September 23 anytime from midnight, all through the day until 11:59 p.m. You have 24 hours to take your photo.

Many people take selfies, but the power of pictures is that they have a story to tell. What’s going on in that photo? How does it make you feel? It can be a simple snapshot or an artful image. Another way to think of it is, what moment of your day do you want to share?

On 9/23/2023, what will your picture be?
