When I was diagnosed, I didn’t know how long I’d be able to continue working as a performing artist. As a storyteller, I use art as advocacy to combat HIV stigma. I’m living my dreams while taking care of my mental & physical health. Yesterday, I took a quick snap before I stepped onstage to play Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in For The Love of Mahalia.
