I’m sitting in front of Anxious Crowd [by contemporary artist Rashid Johnson] to recognize today that today is “A Day With HIV.” I chose this background as it conveys a strong emotion felt by our community. Anxiety is often a result of not knowing what is to come or battling a misinformed society. I’m grateful for the progress made for people living with HIV, while honoring the memory of friends and patients that are no longer with us.
