I was diagnosed on 11/08/08, a day l will NEVER forget. It was definitely life-altering. I made the decision at that point to be educated about all things HIV-related. Also, I had to learn to ask questions and “be my own advocate.” Every morning I make it a point to be up in time for yet another glorious sunrise. It DOES get better!
