A Day with HIV
Is every day for me
Through thick and thin
Up, down, and everywhere in-between
I’ve got me, myself, and I
And…
This virus inside of me
No matter how far I run
No matter how loud I scream
This virus
Is apart of me
Will I wallow in shame?
In hatred?
In frustration?
No.
For I am strong.
I am mighty.
It will take more than a virus
More than daily stigma
More than anything this virus,
Can throw at me.
This is my day… My everyday… with HIV.
I chose to share a goofy photo because while HIV is apart of me, I am also more than my status. I am positive, goofy, loving, caring, and passionate.
